Sanford George is a senior Internet engineer in the external networking group of the Information Technology Services division (ITS) of the University of Southern California.
Sandord has been working in the networking and data communications field since 1977. From 1986 to 1999, he managed the multi-protocol routing infrastructure at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory at the California Institute of Technology. He also held the position of routing center manager for the Southwest region of the NASA Science Internet, NASA Science Network and the Space Physics Analysis Network (SPAN). He received seven NASA awards for his contributions to NASA research and flight projects.
Sanford has also worked for EDS (Electonic Data Systems), Hughes Aircraft Company, Central Oregon College, a Data General OEM (Service Data Processing) and an IBM service bureau (Alaskan Data Systems). His professional certifications include 3Com-Certified Solutions Associate, Cisco Sales Expert (CSE), Cisco-Certified Design Professional (CCDP), Cisco-Certified Design Associate (CCDA), Cisco-Certified Network Professional (CCNP), and Cisco-Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
